The workshop
Refinishing & Restoration
Solid hardwood deserves a second life. We repair, refinish, and restore fine vintage furniture — yours or ours — by hand.
What we do
Honest Work on Honest Furniture
A good cherry dining table is never really worn out. Loose joints, ring stains, sun‑faded tops, chipped veneer — all of it can be brought back. We work with traditional methods and finishes chosen for the piece: hand‑rubbed lacquer for walnut and cherry, penetrating oils for teak, conversion varnish where a table needs to survive a family.
Bring us your own piece, or have something from our floor finished to your specification — stain, sheen, and hardware.

The process
Four Steps, No Shortcuts
1. Assessment
Bring the piece in or send photos. We give a straight answer on what it needs and a written estimate — no charge.
2. Strip & Repair
Old finish comes off, joints get re‑glued, veneer gets patched, hardware gets sorted. The structure comes first.
3. Color & Finish
Stain matched to the era and your home, then a hand‑applied finish built up in thin coats and rubbed out.
4. Delivery
Local delivery available. Every piece leaves with care instructions for the finish it wears.
